Rick and Morty season 6 is on hiatus. With the last four episodes of the season floating somewhere in space, the show is taking a break for a few weeks until November 20. I’d look forward to it, but I’m still scarred like Morty and Summer from last Thanksgiving episode.
“Please use this time to expand your mind in preparation for the rest of the season,” Adult Swim said Sunday in tweet announcing the break. An image notes: “See you in six weeks” and shows Rick holding his grandson’s eyes open.
So far, Season 6 episodes have aired on Adult Swim on consecutive Sundays at 11pm ET/PT. The first part of the season followed the adventures of Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth, Space Beth and Jerry. At the end of episode 6 — the final one, which aired on Sunday — Rick announced that he’d gotten the portal trip right after putting it off for the season.
The sixth season of Rick and Morty is expected to eventually appear on HBO Max and Hulu (for those without Hulu + live TV). In 2018, Adult Swim renewed Rick and Morty for 70 episodes. By the time Season 6 ends, we’ll have seen 30 of them.
For more information on season 6, I’m sticking with this description from the press release: “It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left off, worse for wear and out of luck. Will they be able to return for more adventures? Or they will be swept away in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Pee! Family! Intrigues! Bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss season of your favorite show.”
