Today, English football turns its attention to the world’s oldest national cup competition. A blockbuster fourth-round clash between the two top teams in the English Premier League kicks off the FA Cup weekend as Man City host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
This cup clash looks likely to set the tone for the crucial Premier League clash between the two title contenders next month. The teams haven’t played each other in over a year and a lot has changed since City beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates. City sold striker Gabriel Jesus and full-back Aleksandar Zinchenko to Arsenal in the summer and they look like a team reborn: Arsenal currently have a five-point lead over City at the top of the EPL.
Since winning the FA Cup in 2019, City have dropped out of three consecutive semi-finals. Arsenal went one better than last season after crashing out in the third round of the 2022 tournament in a shock defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Both teams are expected to field full squads for today’s match, with the likes of Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka both featuring. There’s also the added intrigue of City boss Pep Guardiola facing his former assistant (and ex-Barcelona team-mate) Mikel Arteta for the first time this season.

You need to make sure your VPN is set up properly to prevent leaks: Even when VPNs are legal, the streaming service can terminate the account of anyone they believe is circumventing properly enforced termination restrictions.
