Paramount Plus debuts with two new trailers for the long-awaited action halo a series revealing the fast approaching release date of March 24, 2022.
IN first video is a one-minute teaser that previews the longer trailer, originally scheduled to debut during tonight’s AFC Championship match between Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals – it flashes between live videos from the series and both teams on the field (via IGN). At about the 52-second mark, you can hear the announcer announcing the upcoming release date.
And while the longer trailer was due to air during the AFC game, Paramount seems to have released it earlier. This is a much meatier trailer than the short trailers released last year, and gives us a closer look at the possible storyline – which doesn’t seem to follow any specific arcs from the games themselves. We also get a first look at the AI assistant of Master Chief, Cortana, as well as Elites.
IN halo show stars Pablo Schreiber American gods as Master Chief, with Jen Taylor taking on the familiar role of Cortana, which she has voiced since the release of the first halo play in 2001. Natasha McElhaun, who was originally chosen to play Cortana, will play the brilliant Dr. Catherine Halsey.
Live action halo was first announced in 2018 as the Showtime series, but later became the exclusive Paramount Plus. And although it was originally scheduled to debut in 2021, delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic have postponed the show’s launch date until 2022.
