Jake Paul’s next boxing match is only weeks away, but it’s been a long road.
After his first scheduled opponent, Tommy Fury, was struggling with visa issues and eventually withdrew from the fray, Paul’s team scrambled to find a replacement. The solution came in the form of Hasim Rahman Jr., a 12-1 heavyweight who is both bigger and more experienced than Paul. By most measures, this is a tougher fight than planned against Tommy Fury.
✅ Bigger
✅ Stronger
✅ More experienced
✅ KO powerBut it does not matter. They don’t have my heart, they don’t have my drive, and they definitely don’t have my team.
August 6 I’m showing the world that Jake Paul is a badass.

The fight between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 6. The event will take place at 9:00 PM ET and the main event will take place around 11:30 PM ET.
Where is the battle taking place?
The fight between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr. takes place at Madison Square Garden. You can check ticket prices here. There are still plenty of tickets available at this stage, which could be a worrying sign of interest in this fight. Even Jake Paul himself seems to be struggling with the promotion for this fight…
How to watch
Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. will be available to view on Showtime PPV. Its price is $74.99.
Who else is on the card?
It took a while, but we finally have details on the fight’s undercard. Here is the full list of battles from top to bottom…
- Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr
- Amanda Serrano vs. Brenda Carabajal
- Brandon Lee vs. Will Madera
- Ashton Silve vs. Braulio Rodriguez
If you have watched previous Jake Paul fights then Amanda Serrano will be a familiar name. She fought on his previous cards and recently lost a close decision to Katie Taylor in what was the biggest women’s boxing match of all time.
Who is Hasim Rahman Jr.?
Hasim Rahman Jr. is the son of legendary heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, who knocked out Lennox Lewis with a major victory in 2001.
But Hasim Rahman Jr has amassed quite a record himself. At 31 years old, he is already a 12-1 fighter. His only recent loss came via knockout at the hands of undefeated James McKenzie Morrison earlier this year in April. Morrison represents the first real challenge facing Rahman Jr. Up to this point, the majority of his fights have featured boxers with losing or mixed records at best.
Still, at 6-foot-3, Rahman Jr. is bigger than Paul, who has mostly fought undersized opponents in the ring. This can present a real problem for the troubled child.
Who is Jake Paul?
You’re probably familiar with Paul, the social media personality who first made it big on Vine before moving on to every platform out there. He moved into boxing in recent years after fighting on the undercard of Brother Logan Paul’s viral boxing match with British YouTuber KSI. He showed a talent for boxing and has been fighting ever since.
Paul also moved into promotion, co-promoting a huge fight between Ireland’s Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, which was one of the biggest women’s boxing matches of all time.
