It’s currently marked down by $99 currently on Amazon.
The last one iPad Air as of early 2022, it’s occasionally on sale and is a great choice as a more affordable alternative to the iPad Pro. Its M1 processor makes it fast, but it lacks the better, faster-refreshing displays of the iPad Pro models. You can also save a solid $99 on it right now—a combination of an introductory Amazon discount plus additional savings at checkout.

The basic 10.2-inch iPad from 2021 is still good. You can save $50 on Amazon right now on Apple’s latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro with an upgraded M2 processor. This super-large-screen iPad is unique with its Mini-LED display, which looks even more vibrant and has more OLED-like black levels. The iPad Pro 2022 also supports a new “hold” feature that recognizes the pencil when it’s in close proximity to the screen — a feature that isn’t used much yet, but art apps may start to adopt. Amazon offers $50 savings at checkout. Similar deals are also available on some of the higher capacity models.

The iPad Mini received a complete overhaul last year. The new design has rounded edges, thin bezels and no home button. The power button on the side now has Touch ID, and the Lightning port has been replaced with a USB-C charging port. This sixth-generation Mini is powered by the A15 Bionic chip (the same as the iPhone 13) and offers an improved and slightly larger 8.3-inch display and better cameras than the older, fifth-generation Mini. The 10.9-inch iPad Air released earlier this year has a speedy M1 chip, a Center Stage auto-zooming front-facing camera and, except for the display, feels pretty much like an iPad Pro. This is our favorite mid-range iPad model if the Pro seems too expensive. You can save $99 on the base 64GB model in most color options.
