Amazon will lay off another 9,000 employees in the coming weeks, CEO Andy Jassy said in a memo to staff Monday.
The layoffs are in addition to previously announced layoffs that began in November and continued through January. This round affected more than 18,000 employees.
The latest round will primarily affect Twitch’s cloud computing, human resources, advertising and live streaming businesses, Jassi said in the note.
